Book Release Party Featuring Author C.S. Lambert
Blue Ocean Event Center will kick off the 2nd Annual Coastal Arts Festival with Seaside Soiree, a book release reception and VIP event preview on Friday, April 28, from 6PM to 9PM. The event will feature a book signing and meet & greet with nationally renowned author C.S. Lambert as she debuts her latest book, Sea Glass: Rare and Wonderful.
Lambert has been called the world’s foremost expert on sea glass. For more than two decades, the Camden, Maine, based journalist has combed the shores of five continents for ocean tossed and worn, colorful shards of glass as well as pottery. Lambert has published four books: “Sea Glass Chronicles: Whispers from the Past,” “A Passion for Sea Glass,” “Sea Glass Crafts" and, “The “Sea Glass Hunters Handbook.” Lambert will release her latest book, “Sea Glass: Rare & Wonderful” at the Seaside Soiree.
In addition to the book release and signing, 30+ coastal crafters and artists will be showcasing handmade coastal-themed gifts, jewelry and home décor.
Seaglass Executive Chef Harley Smith will conduct a cooking demonstration & food sampling of his signature lobster and asparagus risotto, while Seaglass Mixologist Jim Shalkoski will offer a cocktail-making demo and Seaglass Martini tasting. Guests will be treated to tantalizing food stations such as lobster bisque shooters, coastal sliders, and an artisan cheese display. The night will also include live music, exclusive door prizes and complimentary VIP tote bags filled with $50 in giveaways. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. Call 978-462-5877 for tickets.
The 2nd Annual Coastal Arts Festival continues with an all-day coastal craft fair on Saturday, April 29, from 10AM to 4PM.
